Hi, I have some questions for you.
What would be the right tooth shape for the cog wheel?
What would be the tool to make the right tooth's?
What would be the metal of choice for the cog wheel?
Thanks for your help.

Welcome aboard Otto!

There is no one right answer to your question. A good place to start is the Tip on making a click assembly I published in my monthly newsletter: January 2011 Eclectic Angler Newsletter - scroll down to the tip.

Click wheels can be made out of Delrin, brass, or steel. A simple 60° triangular tooth shape works well. Also see Dave's great blog, he has a few posts on click drags.

Michael
